Using Engagement Organizer

Engagement Organizer provides an automated way to request documents from clients before beginning an engagement. This makes it easier to track received and outstanding documents.

Launch Engagement Organizer from CCH® ProSystem fx® Engagement to set up an organizer for each binder. After setting up a request list, you can then send this organizer to the client.

After clients upload the requested files to the organizer, you can add the files as workpapers in the binder. If CCH® ProSystem fx® Engagement release 2019.2.1 or later is installed, you can add the attachments directly into the binder from the organizer Attachments tab. Otherwise, you can download and insert the files into the binder using the New Workpaper from File function in the Local File Room binder, or by using Add Workpapers in a Central File Room binder. Important: Organizers and their attachments will automatically be deleted by the system when either of the following is true:

  • A retention end date has been assigned for the organizer and the date has passed.

  • The date the organizer was created is two years or more from the current date.
